This post is also available in: In addition to the documentary exhibition Gustav Klimt, Modernism Predecessor, KC Grad and Austrian KulturForum will be showing the biographical film Klimt (2006) starring John Malkovich. The projection is on $ April at 8 pm in the Big Gallery of KC Grad. Directed by Raoul Ruiz this film premiered at the Berlinale Film Festival. Gustav Klimt’s life story unfolds in a series of disjointed sequences in the artist’s mind as he lies dying of pneumonia in a Viennese hospital where he is visited by his friend, Egon Schiele played by Nikolai Kinski. Themes within the film include Klimt’s platonic friendship with Emilie Floege. Much of the film is centred on Klimt’s relationship with dancer, Lea de Castro Prior to the projection, all visitors can taste the new Frikom Grandissimo ice-cream inspired by Klimt. Every remarkable work of art provides a unique experience. Aiming for that same experience, and inspired by the unique artistic expression of Gustav Klimt, Frikom created a limited edition Grandissimo ice-cream, with a rich flavor and intricate details.
